Did you know that not all motor vehicle insurance policies are the same? Do you know what you are covered for with your current policy? Motor vehicle insurance can range from having full coverage of your vehicle and for the third-party vehicle to coverage that is only covering that of the third party. The team at Driessen will give you all the information and the confidence to know your car is covered with the best policy for you.

Who needs it

  • anyone who owns a motor vehicle

Covers that are typically included

  • Compulsory third party (CTP) – compulsory cover that covers claims made by third parties against you for personal injuries and attendant legal costs arising out of the use of your car when the person in charge of your car was at fault.

  • Third Party Property Damage (TPPD) – covers liability for damage to another person’s vehicle or to the property of others (for example, a fence) if you caused the accident. It does not cover any damage to your own car.

  • Third Party, Fire and Theft – TPPD cover AND cover for fire and theft to your own car. It also insures damage caused if your car is stolen.

  • Comprehensive – Comprehensive insures all of the above (except CTP), plus damage to your own car no matter who causes it. If your car is under finance, this cover us usually insisted on by the finance company.
